Marketing Coordinator

Are you a storyteller? Event planner? Relationship builder? Boone County Family Resources is looking for an experienced communications professional to increase the public understanding of persons with developmental disabilities as well as agency services. The right candidate will be passionate about helping the people we serve thrive in our community, connect with others, and achieve their personal goals.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for:

  • ·         Developing and maintaining a community outreach plan
  • ·         Managing social media accounts and website
  • ·         Writing, editing and publishing monthly success stories, a quarterly electronic newsletter, annual report and brochures
  • ·         Planning and coordinating large special events including a picnic and holiday party
  • ·         Building partnerships in the community with likeminded organizations

Qualifications & skills:

  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • ·         Creative problem solving and great attention to detail

  • ·         Experience in graphic design, branding, and development of marketing materials, in addition to familiarity with Microsoft Adobe Creative Suite, strongly preferred
